UPDATE: STOP STEALING MY ART!
24 October 2008

The website that was selling a photoshop tutorial psd that used a design of mine without permission has replaced my image with something else. I'm still undecided whether I'll put the wallpapers up again after this - I'll need to make the copyright notice more blatantly apparent. I'll keep you posted.

STOP STEALING MY ART!
24 October 2008

Apparently copyright infringement doesn't seems to mean much to some "designers". I've recently discovered that a design tutorial website is selling a tutorial that uses one of my artworks in the design. I emailed him and asked him nicely to replace my design with something else and to do this within 48 hours. Not only did he not have the common courtesy to mail me back and apologise for trying to make a buck off my hard work without any compensation, but he chose to completely ignore my request and is still selling this design. I've now had to take down my wallpapers due to this unauthorised use. If you are interested in using one of my designs for something mail me and you will find me more than willing to share my work whenever possible - just as long as you ask first!

INSTALL MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF IE ON YOUR PC
17 October 2008

If you're a website designer, it's important to test your websites on as many different browsers as possible. Whereas Opera, Safari and Firefox more often than not interpret css, xhtml and other web technologies correctly, Internet Explorer usually gives problems. I've often had to create different style sheets just for IE 6 and IE 7 so my sites will work properly. IE 7 was a marked step up from IE 6 (still not as good as FireFox, but at least it's something). The problem is that so many people still use IE 6 so you need to test you site on both versions of the program and it's near impossible to run two versions of IE on one PC (unless you mess around in the registry or install a virtual PC to run another version of the program). I've come across TredoSoft, a program that circumvents this issue by installing multiple versions of IE (3.0, 4.01, 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0) on one PC without the aid of a virtual PC. Have a look at Trendsoft here.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SEPTEMBER?!
17 October 2008

As you may have noticed - there were no news entries for September. I've been THAT busy. However, towards the end of the year when many companies close for Christmas holidays and business gets a bit quite for me I will have more time to dedicate to this website so I'll upload a whole bunch of new resources as well as all my latest work.
